Cancellation and Refund Policy
Last updated: 20 September 2025
This policy explains how cancellations, rescheduling, deposits, and refunds work for Havant Digital projects and care plans. It is written for small business clients so everything is clear and fair. Nothing here affects your statutory rights.
1. Bookings, deposits, and milestones
- Projects under £1,500 – 50 percent to start, 50 percent before launch.
- Projects over £1,500 – 40 percent to start, 40 percent at beta, 20 percent at launch.
- Care plans and hosting – billed monthly in advance. Cancel any time before the next billing date.
2. Cancellation by you
- Before kickoff – deposit refundable minus any third party costs already paid, such as themes, plugins, or stock.
- After kickoff but before beta – pay for work completed to date at the agreed rate. The initial deposit is non refundable once work has started.
- At or after beta – the next milestone becomes payable. If you stop the project, we provide a deliverables pack for work completed to date.
We do not charge arbitrary penalties. You simply cover the work completed and any non recoverable third party costs.
3. Rescheduling workshops or calls
- Reschedule free with 24 hours notice or more.
- Inside 24 hours or no show, we may charge a small fee or deduct time from the project budget.
4. Refunds
- Approved refunds are issued within 14 days to the original payment method.
- Third party purchases and special orders follow the supplier return policy.
5. Our cancellation
If we must cancel or pause due to illness or events beyond our control, we will propose the earliest alternative date or refund any unearned amounts for unfinished stages.
6. Cooling off and consumers
We usually work with businesses, so consumer cooling off rules do not normally apply. If you are purchasing as a consumer, the 14 day cooling off period may apply. If you ask us to begin work within that time, you agree that we may start immediately and you will pay for work completed if you later cancel.
7. Service quality and remedies
We aim to perform with reasonable care and skill. If our work falls short, you are entitled to repeat performance or a fair price reduction as appropriate. See our Guarantee and Aftercare for what is covered after launch.
8. How to change or cancel
Use the Contact page or email [email protected] with your business name, website URL, and a short note. We will confirm next steps promptly.
